Fun Family Phonics Training

Fun Family Phonics offers workshops and training courses for teachers and parents. Courses are provided via VIMEO video download. Upon submitting a registration request you will receive payment information, instructions about how to retrieve your VIMEO video and course materials, and a reminder about your course completion deadline (courses must be completed by the end of the month in which you register).

  • Parent Workshop

    Date: Must be completed by the end of the month in which you register.

    In this workshop parents will become familiar with the stories and songs from Fun Family Fair where phonetic groupings interact in engaging and memorable play areas. They will learn how to teach their children phonetic structures such as ch, er, oi and ow.

    Materials needed to teach this part of the Fun Family Phonics program are included in the workshop fee. Materials include:

    - Fun Family Fair (Book 3)

    - Sing-Along Songs from Fun Family Fair (CD or Mp3 download)

    - 98 Fun Family Fair Stories book

    - Audio Lessons for 98 Fun Family Fair Stories. (Mp3 download)

  • 3 Hour Teacher Training

    Date: Must be completed by the end of the month in which you register.

    This workshop provides training in Section 1 of the Fun Family Phonics program.

    Section 1: Using Book 1 and Book 1A , participants will learn to teach the sounds, names, shapes and printing direction of lower and uppercase letters. Three-letter word building is taught through stories and songs in Book 2.

    Upon completion of this workshop participants will receive a certificate which can be used as 3 instructional hours towards ECE recertification.

  • 10 Hour Teacher Training

    Date: Must be completed by the end of the month in which you register.

    Our 10 hour workshop provides training in all 3 sections of the Fun Family Phonics program.

    Section 1: Sounds, names, shapes and printing direction of lower and uppercase letters, and three-letter word building.

    Section 2: Introduction to complex phonetic constructs.

    Section 3: A comprehensive reading and writing program that combines phonetic learning from sections 1 and 2 with our 20-book Fun Family Readers series.

    Participants will receive a certificate which can be used as 10 instructional hours towards ECE recertification.An additional ‘Tutor Certificate’ will be issued to those wanting to teach the program using purchased Fun Family Phonics materials.(A 20% discount is available on all materials purchased within one month of completing the workshop)
